Dr. C. Florin Arhiri has been caring for patients in Berwyn since 2003. That’s the year he opened Premier Smiles on the Main Line, just about 30 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia. Over two decades later, he’s still here, still treating many of the same families, and still doing the work he loves most: helping people keep their natural teeth and rebuild the smiles they thought they’d lost.

His path to dentistry started in Romania, where he earned his first Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr. T. Popa in 1997, with a concentration in cosmetic dentistry. He spent six years studying cosmetic and implant dentistry there. Before coming to the United States, he spent two years treating patients in a private practice in Eastern Europe.

Dr. Arhiri then earned a second dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2002. At Penn, he trained alongside some of the best minds in the field, and his approach to precision, long-term planning, and patient care took shape. The following year, he completed a Master’s degree in the CEREC CAD/CAM system and became certified in Advanced Anterior Esthetics through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, one of the premier postgraduate programs in the country for cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry.

Advanced Training That Shapes His Approach

Dr. Arhiri has never stopped learning. He continues to pursue advanced training in implantology, laser dentistry, endodontics, and cosmetic techniques so he can offer patients the most current, evidence-based care available. His continuing education spans more than a decade of focused study.

His advanced training includes:

  • Cerec Posterior Restoration Design, Fabrications and Placement including Troubleshooting, June 2003
  • Cerec Advanced Anterior Crowns, Veneers, and Posterior Troubleshooting, June 2003
  • Advanced Functional Aesthetics, LVI Global, October through November 2005
  • Lumineers Smile Design Workshop, The American Society for Clinical Research, January 2009
  • Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Temple University, February 2010
  • Dental Management of Dental Emergencies and Medically Compromised Patients, Temple University, March 2010
  • Nobel Biocare Comprehensive Mini-Residency Implant Placement, Montefiore Dental Implant Center, July 2013
  • Level I Laser Certification Course, Associate Fellowship Certification, World Clinical Laser Institute, 2013
  • Advanced Laser Training, Ultimate Soft Tissue Laser Certification Course, December 2013
  • Sinus Lift Surgery, The Lateral Approach, Columbia University Medical Center, January 2014
  • Integrating Implant Technologies Into Your Dental Practice, Columbia University, April 2014
  • Predictable Endodontics for the General Practitioner: State of the Art, Columbia University, October 2014

He’s also certified in Invisalign technologies. This combination of training allows him to handle a wide range of cases under one roof, from routine preventive care to complex full-mouth reconstructions.

Dr. Arhiri is fluent in English, Spanish, and Romanian. If you’re more comfortable discussing your care in any of those languages, just let us know.

A Focus on Smile Makeovers and Full-Mouth Reconstruction

Dr. Arhiri specializes in smile makeovers and full-mouth reconstruction. That includes traditional porcelain veneers, open bite correction, computerized cosmetic imaging, bonding, porcelain bridges, aesthetic hygiene care, periodontal therapy, digital X-rays, and neuromuscular dentistry.

His favorite part of the job is restoring teeth that patients thought were beyond saving. Seeing someone’s confidence return after years of hiding their smile is what keeps him excited to come to work every day. He also values building long-term relationships with patients and helping them understand the importance of preventive and proactive care. Preserving natural teeth and preventing bigger problems down the road is one of the most rewarding parts of his work.

He chose dentistry because it combines science, engineering, artistry, and human connection. It lets him work with his hands, solve complex problems, and make a tangible difference in people’s lives. As he puts it, dentistry is one of the few professions where you can immediately improve both someone’s health and their confidence.

What Patients Can Expect

Patients who come to Premier Smiles can expect a dentist who listens before recommending anything. Dr. Arhiri believes in personalized treatment plans, not one-size-fits-all checklists. He explains what he sees in plain language, walks you through your options, and makes sure you understand what’s happening and why. If you’re nervous about dental visits, he’ll go at your pace and make sure you feel comfortable throughout.

His philosophy of care centers on precision, long-term planning, and patient education. He’d rather prevent problems than fix them later. And he’d rather save a natural tooth than replace it, whenever that’s possible.

Meet The Arhiri Family

It seems like yesterday when Dr. Arhiri completed his studies at University of Pennsylvania. Where does time go, huh?
Back in 2003, I started to help as many patients as I could by myself. Shortly after that, I added on board one front desk person and one assistant. Crazy times, indeed, but my passion to give my best in the field I loved most kept me going.
In 2015, I married Flori, then she started to manage my business (she has a business background plus an MBA in Marketing and Management). In a nutshell, since then, my life has become easier. I could focus just on treating people instead of being in every department of the office, while my wife was focusing on everything else.
Three years later, in 2018, we had Sophia Tatiana, and in 2019, we had Antonia Maria. They added a lot of love to our family, and many challenges, too. Our family extended rapidly, and our business was growing fast. Therefore, in 2020, we made an emotional decision and purchased another dental office. I was driven by my passion to help as many people as possible to reach their oral health, plus knowing that I have the best coach I could have, my wife, I did not think twice before buying our second office. Her business and leadership skills, her ability to give 150% in everything, and her desire to put a smile on each patient’s face made me feel confident that I made the best decision. Without her help, this dream of mine would not have become a reality.
Together with our lovely team, we make dreams happen, and I am grateful for having nice people working with us, and I am also happy to have a wonderful community of patients. We love to work with people who want to make a difference in people’s lives, people who are patient-centric and who go the extra mile in every situation.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

When I’m not in the office helping patients, one of my main hobbies is scuba diving. I enjoy the underwater world, which is totally unbelievable. I recommend this to everyone to try at least once in their lifetime because it would change their life forever. The things you can see underwater, the peace, the quiet, the serenity, they’re absolutely amazing.

Favorite Part of My Job

My favorite part of the job is restoring teeth that patients thought were beyond salvation and seeing their confidence return. I also value building long-term relationships with patients and helping them understand the importance of preventative and proactive care. Being able to preserve natural dentition and prevent more complex problems in the future is incredibly rewarding.

Why I Chose This Profession

I chose dentistry because it combines science, engineering, artistry, and human connection. It allows me to work with my hands, solve complex problems, and make a tangible difference in patients’ lives. Dentistry is one of the few professions where you can immediately improve both the health and confidence of a person.

Professional Background

I began my career focusing on developing strong clinical skills in restorative and comprehensive dentistry. Early on, I worked in diverse practice settings that allowed me to gain extensive experience in restorative procedures, crowns, and full reconstructions.
Over time, I refined my philosophy of care to emphasize precision, long-term treatment planning, and patient education. As my clinical confidence and vision grew, I established Premier Smiles with the goal of creating a practice centered on high-quality dentistry, integrity, and patient trust.
Today, I focus on comprehensive care, helping patients restore function, aesthetics, and long-term oral care through thoughtful treatments.
